PHONON II
for one bassoonist
Inspired by the concept of phonons in quantum mechanics, this work unfolds with extremely short, microscopic, often imperceptible attacks across multiple registers. Materials in different ranges gradually diverge, transmit, and diffuse to varying degrees, ultimately converging and interconnecting at the conclusion of the piece.
